Modules

Modules can be taken in any order

Module 1: Basic Cardiorespiratory Structure and Function

Duration: 1 Hours CE CREDITS: 1.0

Description:
Saving a patient in cardiopulmonary arrest (CPA) requires the provider to employ techniques to replace the crucial functions of the cardiovascular and respiratory systems, so developing an approach to support patients in CPA requires a thorough understanding of these functions in healthy dogs and cats. This module is focused on reviewing cardiorespiratory anatomy and physiology.

Individual Module Price: $59.00

Module 2: The ABCs

Duration: 1 Hours CE CREDITS: 1.0

Description:
Rapid diagnosis of cardiopulmonary arrest is absolutely essential. In this module, you will learn how to perform a standardized ABC - airway, breathing, circulation exam in a matter of a few seconds that will allow you to quickly diagnose cardiopulmonary arrest or diseases that may lead to cardiopulmonary arrest, maximizing your chance of saving the lives of patients presenting acutely.

Individual Module Price: $59.00

Module 3: The Circulation

Duration: 1 Hours CE CREDITS: 1.0

Description:
The top priority when treating a patient in cardiopulmonary arrest is reestablishing circulation. In this module, you’ll learn the fundamental principles of how chest compressions work, the basic characteristics of high quality compressions, and how to adjust your approach to maximize blood flow in patient’s with varying chest conformations.

Individual Module Price: $59.00

Module 4: Airway and Breathing

Duration: 1 Hours CE CREDITS: 1.0

Description:
Once chest compressions have been started, the next priority for patients in cardiopulmonary arrest is to establish an airway and begin breathing for them. Most dogs and cats likely suffer from primary respiratory arrest, so early support of respiration is crucial. In this module, you’ll learn techniques for respiratory support to optimize both ventilation and oxygenation in patients with CPA.

Individual Module Price: $59.00

Module 5: Team Dynamics and Leadership

Duration: 1 Hours CE CREDITS: 1.0

Description:
The critical state of the patient in cardiopulmonary arrest coupled with the required speed and technical accuracy of cardiopulmonary resuscitation make organization, communication, and leadership crucial keys to success. This module presents measures you can take to prepare your team for a successful CPR effort, and to improve team dynamics during any acute intervention.

Individual Module Price: $59.00
