Randi Brannan, DVM, Diplomate AVDC, Fellow AVD
Dr. Randi Brannan received her doctor of veterinary medicine degree from The Ohio State University College of Veterinary Medicine. She is a Diplomate of the American Veterinary Dental College (AVDC), a charter Fellow and past president of the Academy of Veterinary Dentistry (AVD), and a member of the American Veterinary Dental Society (AVDS).
She has served on the Board of Directors of the Academy and the Society, as well as numerous committees.
Dr. Brannan developed the Equine Track for the Academy of Veterinary Dentistry, which has increased the awareness of dental and oral disease in horses. She is a contributing author to the second edition of Baker and Easley's Equine Dentistry, the Journal of Veterinary Dentistry, Blackwell's Five-Minute Veterinary Consult: Canine and Feline, Blackwell's Clinical Companion: Small Animal Dentistry, and the Proceedings for the North American Veterinary Conference and the Veterinary Dental Forum.
She founded the Animal Dental Clinic in 1993 when she moved from Ohio to Portland, Oregon. As a specialty referral practice, she provided care for small animal patients in all areas of dentistry including oral surgery, endodontics, periodontal therapy and surgery, fracture repair, oral medicine, orthodontics, and genetic counseling. Dr. Brannan lectures internationally on all topics of animal dentistry and conducts in-clinic seminars and workshops. She joined the Zoetis Veterinary Specialty Team (formerly Pfizer Animal Health) in October 2011.
